The position is placed within a pool, which means that, in the long run, you will work across the entire Daily Activities, but you will initially focus on a specific cluster, which may be: Activity and Experience/Nature and Service or Business and Culture. You will replace regular staff who are absent for the day due to illness or parental leave. Therefore, each day will be different as you will be placed where the need for staff is greatest.

Within the pool, you are expected to make the day together with your colleagues and the participants you are responsible for that day. You will receive information in the morning from the substitute coordinator about which activity needs you, and you will go there. You have an eight-hour workday and can start at 07:00 or 07:30 depending on which cluster you belong to.
As an employee within the pool, you will start from one activity and you will have a public transport card to transport yourself to the relevant activity for the day. You will follow and implement the activity's/participants' daily planning. You are appreciated when you arrive because you will always facilitate for the activity and the colleagues you join. This, along with seeing the full breadth of activities and participants' needs within a large part of Daily Activities, gives you increased understanding and knowledge that helps you grow both professionally and personally. It is fun and rewarding to be a Pool worker.
Description of Duties
The work includes providing individual support and service in accordance with the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) to the participants of the activity based on assistance decisions. You will work with individuals who have physical and/or mental disabilities. These individuals may also have care needs and/or challenging behaviors. You are expected to act for good quality and goal fulfillment according to orders, implementation plans, and governing documents. This includes working with low-arousal approaches, structure, security, and participation, as well as working to ensure that participants can live as independently, actively, and meaningfully as possible based on individual conditions, wishes, and needs.
Other tasks included in the role:
- conduct activities with participants both in groups and individually
- provide support and assistance during meals and toilet visits
- collaborate with other staff
- drive cars and minibuses with participants
- conduct social documentation according to legal requirements in Lifecare.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a nursing assistant education or other qualifications that the employer deems equivalent. If you have a pedagogical education, nursing education, are trained as a support pedagogue/social pedagogue, or behavioral scientist, that is an advantage. We want you to have experience working with people with disabilities and experience within LSS or daily activities. You need knowledge of communication aids such as AAC, visual support, sign language support, and sign language. You also need experience with low-arousal approaches and social documentation, as well as good Swedish in speech and writing and a Swedish B driver's license.
